During Dr. Kazi Tani and Prof. Charlet November 2024 field trip in Western and Northern Rwanda, they conducted an extensive tour of hospitals and health centers to meet directors and healthcare professionals. These meetings were essential for laying out the groundwork for Dr. Kazi Tani upcoming 2025 long-term field work and for coordinating the logistics of blood, urine, tissue and soil sample collection. The discussions provided valuable insights into the structure and challenges of the local healthcare system, helping us to identify strategic priorities for collaboration. This proactive engagement of District Hospital Heads not only strengthened our partnerships but also ensured that our Podoconiosis project aligns closely with the needs and realities of the communities the E-Door project aims to support.
