We crossed western Rwanda from south to north for 4 days, from November 20 to 23, to interact with health workers in the region. Dr. Catherine Meriaux gave four talks in Kibogora, Kibuye, Gisenyi and Musanze to raise awareness of the potential health conditions linked to a volcanic environment both in the context of an eruption but also during periods of apparent rest of the volcanoes. We also presented a questionnaire and received 153 responses. We thank the Ministry of Health for authorizing this visit, the general directors of the region's hospitals for facilitating the organization of these 4 meetings and all the participants for the interaction and interest.
